Apollo Denmark is looking for an individual with experience of marketing within the tourism industry and a passion for sales.

In the role as Marketing Activation Manager, you are the link between the sales department and the marketing department, and act as the local representative to the Nordic organisation. In accordance to the Nordic campaign plan you are responsible for the local marketing activities as well as meeting the needs of local sales initiatives.

Together with your counterparts in the other Nordic markets you form a campaign team with the overall responsibility for our campaigns and communication around our promotional offers. You develop, lead and follow up on the process making sure all channels are aligned, timed and speaks with one voice.
You make local adaptions or separate plans where needed and collaborate with external and internal partners when it comes to campaigns.

In the role you will report to the head of marketing, and work closely with the sales department, paid media manager, e-commerce and CRM on a daily basis. You will act as the one point of contact for the marketing department in your market, and making sure information is shared throughout the entire organisation.

Daily tasks include, among others:

  • Budget responsibility.
  • Develop marketing plans.
  • Create collaborations with local tourist organisations.

  • Translation, copywriting, idea generation for all kinds of communication.

  • Drive local activities and collaborations such as trade shows, co-branding initiatives, Tv/radio partnerships etc.

  • Develop, lead and report on the campaign process as well as for each individual campaign

  • Set goals, KPIs and messaging for campaigns

  • Project lead smaller internal initiatives

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Senior and self-reliant with a drive
  • Passion for sales and a drive to improve results
  • A structured person with good presentation skills

  • Strong understanding of business, and what drives growth and profitability

  • Strong ability to transform sales needs into sales-driven activities

  • Creative and pragmatic mindset

  • Project management

Experience

  • A minimum of three years of experience of marketing/sales preferably in the travel sector
  • Proven ability to write commercial texts and ads
  • Experienced in data analytics in genera, and marketing related data specifically

Qualifications

  • Experience with software like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with social media in a professional capacity
  • Experience of working within e-commerce and web analytics
